Physical Description: Karen is slightly taller than average. Her features are typically Narakan: Firey red hair in a pageboy, piercing blue eyes, though not quite as pale as most Narakans.
She is physically rather curvy with a small waist, a subject she is sensitive about. Point it out and she will punch you.
Personality: Bombastic, righteous, uncompromising, Karen presents an image of revolutionary toughness 24/7. Since the revolutionary's defeat, however, she's become rather more cynical and dismisses the young idealists of today as "children". She never had much of a girlhood and it shows: she can't really relate to boys as anything but comrades.
There is another side to her personality, however. She is kind and protective of those she considers vulnerable. If you get past her armor, she's actually rather girlishly shy, especially about personal issues.
Abilities/Strengths/Weaponry: Karen is a master soldier, highly proficient with most forms of armed and unarmed combat and competent in the art of infiltration and disguise.
Weaknesses: Socially, she suffers due to her strong personality and often she has trouble just letting go and having fun. Is also somewhat poor.
History: Kallen was born the daughter of a mid-level, noeuvau riche industrialist. Though she was raised to believe her father had married her mother, in actuality her mother was a servant in their household. When Kallen found out the truth, her father subsequently fired her real mother. Devastated, she ran away to be with the woman who had watched over her her whole life, to Naraka. The culture shock was something else. The conditions that her mother and other lower class people lived in shocked her and she read everything she could get her hands on in the way of radical literature.
Barely a teenager, she joined the desperate rebel forces, in a cell under a charismatic masked commander.During an important battle, however, her commander apparently fled the scene. Shortly afterwards, the rebellion was crushed.
For the past couple years she has made her living in the arena pits, knowing no other real way to live and highly disillusioned.
